How we write

A lesson or a case goes on this site only if it can pass the checks below. This page is also the boundary between the product and a broker. The old “not a broker” lesson now lives here.

How a case is chosen

A case is not a highlight reel. All of the following have to be true before it is published:

  • It names the symbol, the timeframe, the date range, and where the data came from.
  • The read was written while the later bars were still hidden. It is not rewritten after those bars are revealed.
  • It includes the result, including when the read was wrong or the rule was retired.
  • It is not part of a run of only the trades that look clean afterward. In every three cases, at least one is a failure or a decision not to trade.
  • The rule it uses is linked to a lesson that is already public.
  • It does not state a percentage or a point target unless the sample and the source are on the page.
  • It does not say “practice this slice” unless the file can actually be downloaded.
  • It names the author and the date. The only disclaimer is: for study and simulated practice, not investment advice.

How we avoid hindsight

The writer stops at a cutoff, records the read, and only then looks at the later bars. Blind mode on the desktop hides the symbol and the dates. It does not hide the prices. Using the later move to explain what “institutions intended” is not a case we will publish.

The lesson: Why a backtest looks good

Where the data comes from

Lessons and cases use history that is already on the machine: a sample the desktop can pull, or a file you imported. The case names that source. A live broker feed is not part of the product, and we do not describe one as if it were.

When we are wrong

If a date, a data source, or a lesson link is wrong, we correct the page and leave the date of the correction visible. We do not replace a failed read with a cleaner one and leave no trace.

What we will not do

  • Give trade signals or investment advice.
  • Publish a percentage with no sample.
  • Describe a TradingView or MetaTrader script as a feature of this desktop.
  • Publish Pine or MQL as the documentation of the product.
  • Publish a case that cannot name its dates.

Not a broker

If you arrived from a picture of candles, it is reasonable to ask whether this is another broker. It is not. A broker opens an account, holds or arranges money, and sends orders to a market. BarionQuant does none of that.

  • What you buy is a desktop seat: Free, Standard, or Pro, or a redeem code. The handbook is included with the seat. There is no separate course product.
  • What you do not send us is a deposit, a wallet top-up, or margin. If a checkout asks you to fund a trading account, that is not this product.
  • What stays on the machine is the history you import or download as a sample, plus your sessions, notes, and layouts.
  • A training ticket inside a session is a simulator action. It is not a broker ticket, and New Order in Training is not a live position.
  • Replay results do not predict live results. A plan tier is not a prop-firm challenge, and Pro is not a signal channel.
  • Product questions go to [email protected]. That address is for the software, not for trade ideas.
