About

BarionQuant Research writes the lessons on this site, the notes under the free tools, and this page. The same group builds BarionQuant Desktop, the Windows program used to practice those lessons on prices that already happened.

Who signs what

  • BarionQuant Research is the institutional byline. It signs pages that do not depend on one person's read of a chart: this page, How we write, tool notes, and the glossary.
  • A case study is one person's read, written before the later bars are shown. That page will be signed BarionQuant followed by a fixed pen name. Once that name is used in public, it does not change.
  • The institutional byline has an author page at /authors/barionquant-research. A case still waits for a pen name that starts with BarionQuant and does not change once it is public. A case is not published until it meets every rule on How we write.

Why this site exists

Reading a rule is not the same as following it when the next bar is hidden. The site is where the rule is written. Desktop is where you practice it.

A sitting uses history that is already on your machine. It does not reveal the bars that come after the cutoff. The grade is whether the written rule was followed. Profit on a replay is not the grade.

Lessons and tools stay free to read. A paid seat is more of the desktop software and the deeper handbook chapters. It is not a separate school, and it is not a trading account.

What we are not

We are not a broker. We do not take deposits, hold client money, or send live orders. What a seat includes, what a training ticket is, and where the legal pages are, is written on How we write.
